Intelligent Entry & Communication

AI Phone Intercom

Entry systems that see, speak, screen and route, so a visitor, a delivery or a resident gets in without anyone sitting at a desk to buzz them.

Overview

The front door answers itself

Traditional intercoms tie entry to a person. Someone has to be at the panel, at the desk, or holding the handset. Nights, weekends and staff shortages turn that into a locked door and a frustrated visitor, or worse, a door propped open for convenience.

Modern AI intercoms move the answer to wherever your people are. Calls ring a mobile app, a desk phone or a whole group in sequence. Video lets whoever answers see the person before releasing the door. Directory search, license plate recognition and delivery PINs let expected visitors in without a call at all.

We install and integrate these systems end to end: entry panel, network and power, SIP or cloud call routing, door hardware interface, and tight coupling with your access control and camera platform so an entry event is one record, not three.

Capabilities

What this service actually includes.

Not a category heading, but the specific work we self-perform under it.

AI video entry panels

Weather-rated touchscreen and keypad panels with wide-angle HD video, two-way audio, noise suppression and IR for night visibility. Flush, surface, pedestal and gooseneck mounting.

Mobile & SIP call routing

Calls reach smartphones, desk phones, softphones or a hunt group. Ring order, failover, business hours and after-hours behavior all configurable, so nobody has to be physically present.

Automated visitor screening

Facial recognition for enrolled staff, license plate recognition at gates, one-time PINs and QR codes for scheduled visitors and contractors, with every entry logged with a photo.

Delivery & courier handling

Carrier PINs, package room release, delivery-only access windows and resident notification, which ends both the propped door and the stolen parcel.

Multi-tenant directories

Searchable resident and suite directories with self-service updates, per-unit call routing and management portals for MDU, mixed-use and multi-tenant office buildings.

AI reception & routing

Natural-language greeting that understands who the visitor is asking for, routes to the right person or department, answers common questions and takes a message after hours.

Close-out

What you receive when we’re done.

Documentation is part of the scope, not a favor. Every ai phone intercom project closes out with the same package, so the next person to touch the system, whether that is us or somebody else, can work from facts.

Ask for this list on every bid you receive. A contractor who cannot produce test results and as-builts is asking you to trust that the work was done right.
  • Call flow diagram covering hours, after hours and failover
  • Directory loaded and tested with real users
  • Door release interface verified against life safety code
  • Mobile app rollout and short end-user guide
  • Entry event logging confirmed end to end with video
  • Admin training on adding, editing and revoking users

FAQ

AI Phone Intercom: common questions

No. Modern systems run over your network, usually a single PoE cable to the panel, and route calls over SIP or the manufacturer’s cloud. Copper POTS lines are being retired nationwide, which is exactly why so many buildings are replacing telephone-entry panels right now.

We design for it. Panels retain local credentials and PIN codes so enrolled users still get in, door hardware stays on battery backup, and cellular failover is available where an outage genuinely cannot be tolerated.

Never. It is one option among several, and some organizations decline it on policy or state-law grounds. Mobile credentials, PINs, QR codes and plate recognition all work on their own. We will walk through the privacy implications with you before anything is enabled.

For entry calls and straightforward routing, yes: the AI attendant greets callers, identifies who they need and either connects them or takes a message. For complex dispatch or clinical triage we recommend keeping a human in the loop and using the AI layer as the first filter.
