Our story

Established 2017. Built on work that holds up.

Wiscom Services Inc. grew from a small low voltage business into a North American contractor for remodeling and new construction. Our office in Doraville, Georgia is the hub for nationwide operations.

Who we are

A low voltage contractor that thinks like a builder.

We came up doing the work: pulling cable, terminating fiber, hanging cameras, building racks. That background shows up in how we scope a job: we know what a ceiling actually looks like above the grid, what a GC’s schedule really allows, and which shortcuts create a callback.

Since 2017 we have expanded from a single trade into eight, because clients kept asking the same question: can you just handle all of it? Today one Wiscom contract can cover the cabling plant, the camera system, the doors, the intercom, the wireless, the power and pathway, the conference rooms and the server room, designed together rather than stitched together.

What has not changed is the standard. Certified links. Labeled cable. Drawings at close-out. A crew that cleans up. It is not complicated, but it is rare enough that it is still our best sales pitch.

Milestones

How a small low voltage shop became a national contractor.

2017

Founded in Georgia

Wiscom Services Inc. opens as a small low voltage business, taking on cabling and security work for local homes and businesses.

Growth

From service calls to construction

Repeat work from general contractors pulls the company into full rough-in scopes on remodels and new construction, and the crew grows to match.

Expansion

Eight disciplines under one roof

Cameras, access control, intercom, wireless, AV, power and server work are brought in-house so clients stop coordinating separate subcontractors.

Today

A North American footprint

The Doraville office, just outside Atlanta, runs estimating, engineering, procurement and dispatch for projects across the United States, with the same documentation standard on every one.

Built around remodels and new construction.

Occupied buildings and active job sites are two different disciplines. We staff, schedule and document for both.

What we believe

Six rules we do not bend.

These are not posters on a break room wall. They are the reasons our estimates sometimes come in higher, and the reasons clients keep calling back.

Do it once, correctly

Rework is the most expensive thing in construction. We would rather spend an extra hour dressing a rack or re-pulling a bent run than come back to it in eighteen months.

Document everything

If it is not labeled, tested and drawn, it does not exist. Our close-out package is the same whether the job is twelve drops or twelve hundred.

Say the hard thing early

If a budget will not carry the scope, if a product is wrong for the building, or if a schedule is not realistic, you hear it from us at proposal time, not at punch list.

Respect the building

Occupied spaces get protected finishes, contained dust, clean pathways and a site left tidy at the end of every shift. Your tenants should barely know we were there.

Design for the next change

Buildings change. Spare conduit capacity, spare ports, spare rack units and honest labeling turn the next renovation into an afternoon instead of a project.

Answer the phone

One project lead, reachable, who knows your site. That is a low bar in this trade and it is astonishing how often it is the deciding factor.

Safety & standards

Code is the floor, not the goal.

Every scope we write is built against published standards, and every crew works to a documented safety practice. Inspections should be a formality.

  • ANSI/TIA-568: structured cabling performance and topology
  • ANSI/TIA-606: administration, labeling and records
  • ANSI/TIA-607: telecommunications bonding and grounding
  • NEC (NFPA 70): power, pathway, cable listing and firestopping
  • NFPA 101 / IBC: egress and life safety on every controlled door
  • OSHA practice: lift, ladder, PPE and lockout/tagout discipline
  • BICSI design practice: pathway, spaces and telecom room planning

For general contractors

An easy sub to carry

GCs keep us on their bid lists because we make the low voltage line item quiet:

  • Submittals and product data returned on time
  • RFIs answered in writing, not in the hallway
  • Rough-in sequenced to your schedule, not ours
  • One sub instead of six separate low voltage trades
  • Insurance, COIs and safety documentation in order
  • Punch list closed before we ask for final
